By using GoCOM Taxi services in Nigeria, you agree to these Terms in accordance with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Guidelines, Lagos State Ride-Hailing Regulations 2022, and the Consumer Code of Practice Regulations 2007.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Using the GoCOM Taxi app constitutes acceptance of these Terms. We may update them with 7 days’ notice via app notification.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18+ years old. Drivers must possess a valid Nigerian driver’s license, Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI) card, and vehicle registered with Lagos State Ministry of Transportation.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • Keep your account details confidential.
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
  • We may suspend accounts for fraudulent activity or violation of Lagos ride-hailing laws.

4. Ride Services

GoCOM acts as a technology platform connecting riders with independent drivers. We are not a transportation carrier. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees.

5. Pricing & Payment

Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and demand. Payments are processed via CBN-licensed PSPs. Cash trips are permitted only in compliance with NCC cashless policy exemptions.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Riders: Cancellation fee applies after 5 minutes.
  • Drivers: Multiple cancellations may lead to temporary deactivation.
  • Refunds processed within 7 business days.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes (e.g., drug transport).
  • Carry weapons or dangerous items.
  • Discriminate based on tribe, religion, or gender.
  • Damage driver vehicles.

8. Liability & Insurance

(policy details visible in-app). Personal accident cover for riders and drivers included.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for breach of Terms or directive from Lagos State Government or NITDA.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Nigerian law. Disputes shall be resolved in Lagos State courts or via arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
